Surrey Deadwood Management

Deadwood management is one of the most common pruning techniques we offer. This involves the removal of all dead, diseased, broken and dangerous branches from within the crown while ensuring the rest of the tree is not damaged and can grow healthily.

If you don't remove deadwood the tree will become an unsafe environment, and cause a health and safety risk as well as looking unhealthy.

Surrey Tree Pollarding

This Tree maintenance service is used to greatly reduce the size of a tree that has outgrown its location, whilst encouraging new and improved growth.

The pollarding service includes the removal of all branch limbs back to the main stem, which then lets the tree regrow. Whenever possible we encourage crown reduction or thinning instead as an alternative option.

Surrey Crown Thinning

We can remove over dense treetops such as over-lapping and small live branches from inside the tree crown to a maximum of 25% of the body whilst maintaining the tree health. The smallest amount of branches should only be removed to ensure the tree looks natural.

By performing crown thinning, we will increase light levels and reduce shading and wind resistance caused by a dense tree.

Crown lifting is made by removing a select number of branches from the lower section of a tree to increase the height of the tree crown.

Our crown reduction service reduces the overall size of the crown of the tree by taking away the upper limbs and branches from the tips to stronger growth points.

We determine cut points depending on the tree species, the structural integrity of the tree and setting. We avoid stress to the tree, by recommending a maximum reduction of no more than 25%.
