By making the right pruning and cutting decisions, the tree will not only retain its natural beauty, but it will also be healthier, more manageable and will grow productively.

Hampshire Deadwood Management

Dead wooding trees is one of the most common pruning services we offer. IDead wooding involves removing dead, diseased, broken or dangerous branches from within a tree crown whilst ensuring at the same time the rest of the tree is not damaged.

Without cutting off deadwood the tree can cause an unsafe environment, a health and safety risk and will also look unhealthy.

Hampshire Tree Pollarding

Tree pollarding is a tree maintenance technique used to reduce the size of a tree that has outgrown its setting, whilst encouraging new and healthy growth.

This tree service involves the removal of all branches back to the main stem, after which the tree is allowed to regrow in a healthy manner.

Hampshire Crown Thinning

Removing density from a tree such as over-lapping and small live branches from within the tree crown is always done to a minimum. This is so only the smallest amount is removed to provide a better shape and structure to the tree, whilst maintaining a healthy appearance.

Crown thinning will increase the light levels through the tree and reduce shading and wind resistance as well.

Hampshire Crown Lifting

When we perform crown lifting, this is done to increase the height of the crown by removing particular branches from within the crown of the tree.

We use this process to remove obstacles and obstructions to provide clearance under the tree without affecting the overall shape and size of the tree crown.

Hampshire Crown
Reduction

We reduce the overall size of the crown of the tree by removing the upper limbs and branches from the tips to suitable and healthy growth points.

We determine which to cut by the tree species, the structural integrity of the tree and location but to avoid unnecessary stress to the tree, the maximum recommended reduction is no more than 25%.

A good crown reduction will leave the tree looking healthier and natural whilst allowing more light into your garden.
